The Heinz Chapel Choir will be performing in Ferguson Theater on Oct. 11.

The Heinz Chapel Choir is an a cappella group consisting of many talented students from the University of Pittsburgh. With 54 members this year, they are under the direction of John Goldsmith (since 1989), an a cappella specialist.

Goldsmith also teaches the two-year ear-training course sequence for music majors at Pitt and serves as the director of undergraduate studies for the music department.

Students for Peace and Justice hosting a night of live music featuring Greensburg band Black Market Theatre and Kittaning band Rising Regina. Admission is free, pizza and snacks to be served.

Brad Yoder: Plays the Exchange Coffeehouse tonight (Thursday).By Mike McDermit / Staff writer

Tonight, musician Brad Yoder once again brings his brand of acoustic folk-rock to The Exchange.

Yoder, a native of Pittsburgh, has been performing around the area for more than 10 years and is a frequent guest at UPG.

“I do enjoy playing UPG,” says Yoder. “I’ve had some great shows there, and I like the vibe of The Exchange. It’s a cozy little room.”
